Concrete Replacement
The Village's Private Participation
Concrete Replacement Program
(PPCRP) is open to property
owners in the community who wish
to replace their driveway apron,

sidewalk and/or curb. Concrete work for a large volume of Village-owned curbs and sidewalks is competitively bid each Spring and these bid prices are offered to local property owners. The Village administers the contract and inspects the work to make sure that it is in compliance with Village codes and standards. There are no warranties or guarantees with this program. Only concrete work adjacent to your driveway, within the public right-of-way, is eligible under this program and special concrete finishes are not allowed.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Complete an application and return it to the Department of Engineering and Community Development, located at 901 Wellington Avenue. Applications are available at the Village Municipal Center, or click here to print out an application (.pdf) and instructions/questions (.pdf).
The application deadline is Friday, May 31, 2010.
The Village will measure the driveway apron, sidewalk and/or curb work, and provide you with a cost estimate and a permit application.
If you wish to proceed with the work proposed and are satisfied with the estimate, you may then submit your payment and the permit application to the Village.
Payments must be received no later than Friday, July 9, 2010. The payment is nonrefundable and should be submitted to the Finance Department.

The driveway work will be scheduled to take place July through September and typically requires closure of the driveway for 5-7 days. Construction operations are weather dependent and special date requests cannot be accommodated. Property owners may be able to negotiate with the Contractor for additional work on private property.
