| Village vehicle stickers go on sale beginning in mid-April each year. Preprinted application forms are mailed in April to all residents who purchased a vehicle sticker the previous year. To avoid waiting in line, residents are encouraged to renew by mail, or utilize the 24-hour drop box, located at the Municipal Building.
The fee for passenger cars remains at $20, and truck fees range from $40 to $145. Other fees include: $25 for recreational vehicles, $15 for motorcycles under 150 cubic centimeters, and $20 for motorcycles over 150 cubic centimeters. Senior citizens 65 years and older, handicapped persons with a handicap plate or permanent placard registered to the vehicle owner, and disabled veterans can purchase vehicle stickers at a reduced rate of 50 cents (limit two per qualifying household). Stickers must be displayed in the lower right-hand corner of the windshield before June 1st. Vehicles that do not have a sticker displayed by June 1st, and are registered or housed within Elk Grove Village, are subject to citations and a price increase ($30 for passenger vehicle and $20 for seniors or handicapped).
Village Ordinance requires pets that reside in Elk Grove Village to be licensed by the Village. Pet license tags for all dogs and cats cost $4 and must be displayed on your pet's collar before June 1st. Proof of rabies inoculations for dogs and cats over four months of age is required before issuance of the Village pet license.
Vehicle stickers and pet licenses can also be purchased in person at the Municipal Building, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. until noon the first Saturday of the month, excluding holiday weekends. Passenger car, motorcycle and "B" truck stickers can be purchased at currency exchanges located at 838 Arlington Heights Road, 1660 Greenleaf Avenue and 550 Devon Avenue.
