PERMIT SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to a completed application,  all permit submissions are required to include the following information:

• Complete the Residential Sewer Service Repair Diagram
  

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• The sewer pipe shall be
  PVC--SDR--26 or
  DUCTILE IRON CL 52
• There shall be  four inches (4") of stone bedding under the pipe
• The pipe shall be covered with stone backfill a minimum of twelve inches (12") over the top of the pipe
• The approved stone shall be
  CA--6 GRADE 8 or 9  or
  CA--11 #6 WASHED
• There shall be no boring or tunneling under the public sidewalk. If you need to repair or replace a section under a public sidewalk, the walk must be removed and replaced using three (3) pieces of re-bar across the trench.

A contractor must have a floating bond with the Village, or the contractor or homeowner shall place a $200 cash refundable bond which will be refunded when the job is completed and restoration has occurred.

RESIDENTIAL SEWER SERVICE REPAIR DIAGRAM

In most cases your sewer repair permit will be issued over the counter.  If for some reason this cannot be accomplished you will be given an approximate date when your permit will be issued.
